The GEF-UNEP Reindeer Herding and Resilience (RHR) Project is launching a practical Traditional Knowledge Documentation Course, with a particular focus on the knowledge and experiences of Dukha reindeer herders in Mongolia. The course will explore how Traditional Knowledge is understood, passed between generations, documented, protected, and shared responsibly. Participants will combine learning with practical work and begin developing documentation projects relevant to Dukha reindeer husbandry, life in the taiga, and reindeer herding communities globally.
Online sessions: 15, 22 and 29 October 2026
On-site course: 2–9 November 2026, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
The course is organized within the 10545 GEF-UNEP Reindeer Herding and Resilience Project, implemented by the International Centre for Reindeer Husbandry (ICR).
